What a gem past the crowds of jones beach and closer than the hype of fire isl. the waves are strong and it’s not so kid friendly as it gets deep quick. Surrounded by dunes, expansive volley ball courts and playground it’s definitely a win. Note nonresident admission fee is $40 and totally worth it for the cleanliness, frequent lifeguard stations and overall atmosphere

Visiting this beach was an excellent experience, soft sand and warm beach. There were a lot of lifeguard around beaches, voleibol fields and enough space to everyone. Parking is $40

They have life music show on weekends. This beach is not crowded, and the best part is clean! If you’re resident you can get a discount. If not, they’ll charge you $40 per car.

We were going to go here because it looked nice and was close but the $40 price for parking was ridiculous. We drove 10 minutes down the road to Robert Moses state park and paid $10 to park which is very reasonable. They have different areas to go to and just as beautiful and they have plenty of parking, restrooms, and a restaurant

Long Island Volleyball Association is single handedly ruining this beach and the crowd it brings in. I no longer enjoy bringing my children here. As a tax payer this is so disheartening that the board is just allowing this to continue

I give it a 4 only because there is no Half Day fee and I only stayed 2 hours due to weather conditions sooooo $40 for a 2hrs stay kind of feel ridiculous... but otherwise, this is a great option with Guards on Duty.
